Our story
It started with one torn backpack
Our first backpack kept tearing at the same seam. Rather than buy another, we found an old walking-foot machine and a roll of canvas and made one that would not. Friends asked for one, then their friends did, and the spare room became a workshop.
How we work
Every bag is cut, sewn and finished by one maker at our long workbench, a few dozen of each design at a time. We sew heavy cotton canvas on walking-foot machines, bind every inside seam, and set each buckle and rivet by hand.
What we care about
Bags simple enough to mend and sturdy enough to need it rarely. Cotton canvas, cotton webbing and metal hardware, so nothing peels or cracks with age. And a repair bench for everything we make, so a torn strap is the start of a repair, not the end of a bag.
